What this actually involves.
An elevation is not decoration stuck on the front of a finished house. It is the part of the building that takes the weather, controls how much sun gets in, and decides what the house is worth to the next buyer.
We design in the material language that works here — travertine and local stone, brick, exposed concrete, timber screens and powder-coated aluminium — and we detail the joints, drips and shadow gaps that keep it looking sharp after three monsoons.
How we do it
Six things we always do.
Not a sales list — this is the order the work is actually done in, and the reason each step comes where it does.
Massing before material
The shape does most of the work. Deep reveals, cantilevers and recessed balconies give you shade and depth for free; applied cladding cannot rescue a flat, badly proportioned box.
Sun and shade, deliberately
West elevations in Islamabad take a punishing afternoon load. Screens, fins, deep soffits and set-back glazing are cooling decisions before they are aesthetic ones.
Details that survive rain
Copings, drip grooves, sealed joints and proper flashings. Most tired-looking elevations in this city failed at a detail, not at a material.
Materials chosen for maintenance
We will tell you honestly which finishes need washing, which will stain, and which will look better in five years than on handover day.
Lighting designed with the facade
Grazing light on stone, uplights on planting, and conduits laid before the elevation is closed — not surface-mounted afterwards.
Built by the people who drew it
The elevation on the drawing and the elevation on site are the same thing, because the same team owns both.
Materials we work in regularly
- Travertine, marble and local stone — honed, brushed or split face
- Facing brick and exposed concrete for texture and shadow
- Timber and aluminium screens for shading and privacy
- Powder-coated aluminium and uPVC glazing systems
- Rendered and textured plaster where the budget is better spent elsewhere
- Facade lighting with concealed conduit and IP-rated fittings
Decisions you will actually have to make
- How much of the budget goes to the front elevation versus the rest of the house
- Stone versus brick versus render — the difference in cost and in ageing is large
- How much glass you want on the west side, and what will shade it
- Whether the boundary wall and gate are part of the same design language
- Solar panels: hidden behind a parapet, or visible and planned for
